Born in 1984, Sky has had many different spiritual and alternative explorations during her journey to heart-opening, and the path of supporting that energy in remaining heart-centered and integrated in the body. It is the fruit of these explorations that guide the work she shares with others.
"Growing up in a deeply dysfunctional and challenging family, I knew at a young age I had to protect my clarity and rely on my own wisdom and connection to guide me and protect me through life. In my mid-20's, after so much disappointment, frustration, dissatisfaction, darkness, pain, and relationship challenges, I realized that despite my best efforts, my childhood and societal conditions had indeed shaped me and my life. As soon as I realized this, (thanks to A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle), I decided then and there that my future would no longer be determined by my past. On one fateful day in 2010, I divinely cracked open and abruptly left a prized career in the music industry in favor of truth, God, and the unknown: With no plans and no financial security, (and with only the voice of my soul and the Divine guiding the way), I threw it all to the wind and drove up the coast from California to Seattle. This trip marked the beginning a profound journey of gratitude, expansion, spirituality, surrender, de-conditioning, returning Home, and remembrance of the love within and the beauty of this precious life. Today, this journey continues on (and I trust will last for lifetimes)."
Sky, who is psychic/clairvoyant, has been working with spirit and light since a young age. Having been naturally attuned to the power of belief since a child, she has remained fascinated by the meeting of mind and heart: that, through the power of our mind and shaping our mind in positive ways, we can invite and allow the guidance and vision of our soul's truth to employ this brilliance of the mind to birth the life of our highest vision. This is the theme and focus of her work. The beautiful meeting of mind and heart; the integrated, embodied life. What happens when we let go of the past, the misunderstandings of our perspective, and begin to switch the roles: allowing our mind to work for our heart? The mind has gotten quite a bad rap, but really it is just our perspective that needs to be healed. The mind does its vital job perfectly.
Published on Ram Dass's blog in a discussion about wanting versus desire, Sky is a channel, clairvoyant, a metaphysical/transformation guide, healing facilitator, a writer and an author. Her debut book A Ceremony Called Life: When Your Morning Coffee Is as Sacred as Holy Water was released in July 2016 through Sounds True (available for purchase on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and more).
Many practices, tools, rituals, and therapies have supported Sky on her way and their influence can be sensed in the work she shares, including: Ceremonial work/ritual, such as the Native American ritual of the Moon Dance, is a core part of Sky's personal work, which is a 4-day, all night prayer with the abuelas (grandmothers) and sisters under the full moon each year. Plant medicine work, (ceremonies with Ayahuasca and Peyote), have been present in Sky's journey, though mostly in the past. Sky is a trained practitioner and teacher of ThetaHealing, a modality of shifting limiting elements in the subconscious. Self-inquiry, women's work, and meditation have also been tremendous guides for her and remain a part of her daily practice. Her daily practice is infused with tantric meditation, deep breathing, working with intimate relationship as a spiritual path, and remaining present through whatever shows up in life. Her greatest and oldest teachers are silence and the light. Sky also writes poetry, inspired by the boundless depths of this divine life.
